ÚrsulaGIS is a tool for farmers interested in precision agriculture.
It allows you to view and clean yield maps, produce economic margin maps, fertilization recommendations and soil nutrient balance maps.
It's also free and open source!
With ÚrsulaGIS we can all view and clean crop maps, download NDVI maps, generate potential maps and fertilization recommendations. Then generate margin maps to audit economic decisions and nutrient balance maps to audit environmental decisions and improve future decisions. We believe that the best way to make precision agriculture a widespread practice is by providing our tool for free. Precision or environmental agriculture is the same old agronomy with tools that allow us to make more decisions per hectare. It is easy, fast, convenient and applicable here and now. We no longer have reasons not to do it.

- November 13, 2020: Version 0.2.26 was released for 64-bit Windows, which allows viewing NDVI tif images in the new format that was interfering with previous versions. The functionality to export NDVI to KML format was also added.
- May 20, 2020: Version 0.2.24.2 was released for 64-bit Windows, which allows handling in Portuguese and English in addition to Spanish. In addition, it incorporates several graphical interface improvements and allows mass download of NDVI and takes into account the organic matter content when calculating the Nitrogen fertilization recommendation. The first version of the purchase order generation from tasks and recommendations is also incorporated.
- October 1, 2018: Version 0.2.23 was released for 64-bit and 32-bit Windows that allows Importing Polygons, Joining Polygons, Intersecting Polygons, Generating Directed Sampling Points, Generating Fertilized Sowing, Joining Crops by Calibrating Them, and the error that did not allow raising previously saved polygons if the regional configuration of the operating system was not in English was corrected.
- July 19, 2018: Users are informed that satellite images are only available from June 23, 2015.
- August 29, 2017: Version 0.2.22 was released for 64-bit Windows and 32 bits that allows generating nitrogen fertilization prescriptions and downloading NDVI images classified by cloud, crop or surface water. The NDVI image publishing service is still experiencing delays at the source, but images from August 15, 2017 have been downloaded.
- July 28, 2017: According to information from the European Space Agency, it is reported that NDVI images are only available until July 13, 2017 (for maintenance issues) and from June 23, 2015. More information on Earth Engine and SciHub
- June 5, 2017: Version 0.2.20 was released, which allows saving marked polygons, requirement coefficients for different crops, creating new fertilizers, seeds and crops. It also allows to generate, import and export soil maps that will be used for nutrient balances and N recommendations.
- May 8, 2017: Version 0.2.19 was released, which allows to export the generated fertilization recommendations, and other tasks. It also allows to see the histogram of the NDVI maps and to convert an NDVI map to an estimated harvest. A feature was also created to warn the user that a new version is available and allows to update the application automatically.
- April 22, 2017: Version 0.2.18 has been released. It fixes all known bugs from previous versions and also implements many new features. Some of them are: Generation of crop, sowing, fertilization and spraying layers from polygons, also generating economic margins, phosphorus balance and recommendation for phosphorus fertilization.
- April 17, 2017: In version 0.2.17.2 it was discovered that the NDVI maps for the months of January cannot be downloaded due to an error in the calculation of the date corresponding to the previous month. It calculates December of the same year instead of December of the previous year. Fixed in version 0.2.18
